Murals

This is a vineyard scene in the swim room of a private home in Wooden Valley, California. The walls were painted out to give the illusion of windows.

Below is an image for a hotel in Northern California.
The vineyard scenes of the Napa Valley below were done in the sunroom of Churchill Manor Bed and Breakfast in Napa, California. Ther are two of six in the sun room.

My Mission

My father is an artist and loves to create. Unfortunately he's too modest for his own good. So I have taken it upon myself to secretly set-up a blog to promote and solicit his work to anyone interested.

My father is Dave Huddleston. He use to teach on-site watercolor classes all over the world. His primary medium was watercolor paintings.

He is mostly admired and known for his landscapes.

As an artist he experimented with different mediums. Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor, canvas, bottles, zebras, walls, and that eventually led to wine labels, childrens books, and sculptures. He has painted faerie creatures, ducks, vineyards, tuscan villas, and more.

Creature/Faerie Paintings

In the last 10 years my father has taken an interest in creatures and faeries. Probably the result of many night time stories he would read to us kids. This is a peek at the "Burden of the Materialistic Man". My dad has placed each of my siblings, my mom, and his name some where in the painting.

This sneak peek is a painting called "Calendrim". To view larger, more complete paintings please visit: http://www.davehuddleston.com/.

Wildlife

My dad has also done some truly beautiful nature paintings.

Steam Engines and Murals

As of the early 1990's murals became a hot seller. Everyone wanted a vineyard, tuscan, or landscape on their walls.

My favorite mural, to this day, is still the Colorado Rockies with a Steam Engine Train. The most remarkable thing about this particular mural is the sheer size it is approx. 27 feet high by 90 feet wide. It was commissioned by a plastics factory in Vacaville, California called Wundermold.
